People of all ages are now considering an apprenticeship. However, for young people it can seem to be a minefield to decide what job to do, which employer and which training provider will provide the best experience?

Apprenticeships are usually to Level 2 or Level 3 Qualifications – this is the first tier of training.
However, there are now Higher and Degree Apprenticeships where the employer pays for high level qualifications at college or university.
Many sixth form students are considering these higher apprenticeships as a real alternative to full time university. Unfortunately many sixth form staff have little understanding of apprenticeships and the application process.
